As the largest city in the Imperial Valley, there are lots of ways to spend your day in El Centro, CA. Even better, the warm weather perfectly complements some of the great activities you can do in this beautiful part of California.

Nature in El Centro

If you want to experience everything an area has to offer, you have to spend a little bit of time in nature. In El Centro, there are a lot of great ways to enjoy your time outdoors.

The Lakeview Golf Course is a great place to spend a sunny day in California. This course is immaculately maintained and offers some simple yet challenging holes, making it perfect if you want to golf with a few friends.

If you enjoy spending time outside but you’re not the biggest golf fan, Bucklin Park offers scenic views and a nice spot to relax. You can enjoy a snack, read a book or simply take a walk through the park.

Food in El Centro

For fans of simple yet delicious food, there aren’t a lot of hidden gems that can compete with El Centro. Not only are there tons of different spots where you can get a burger and fries, there are quality pizza and Mexican options as well.

If you’ve never been to In-N-Out Burger, visiting El Centro is a good opportunity to give it a try. For those who want a little bit of an extra treat, try your burgers and fries animal-style.

As far as pizza goes, Johnny Carino’s is a top option in the area. Not only are these some of the best pies in the city, you can also get great pasta and a range of delicious drinks.

Other El Centro Attractions

The Imperial Valley Mall offers tons of shopping options if you’re looking for a good way to spend a day. Plus, you can get some tasty food while you’re in the mall. You get access to all your favorite stores here, including spots like Forever 21 and PacSun.

If you’re a big fan of shooting and practicing your aim, Border Tactical is a great spot to get some target practice in. You can even rent a gun while you’re there so you don’t have to bring your own.

These are just some of the many ways you can spend a day in El Centro, CA, so make sure you check out some other popular spots, too. And if you get bored, you’re only 10 minutes from Mexico!
