Grupo Nacional Provincial (GNP) is one of the largest insurers in Mexico. Affordable and Flexible Mexico Home Insurance
Buying a homeowners policy in Mexico doesn’t have to be complicated. MexInsurance.com is able to simplify and reduce the costs by offering competitive rates to customers. Our offerings are based on current market conditions and are affordable for those who own condos and single-family homes in Mexico.
In addition, these policies also feature adjustable deductibles to make the costs of house insurance in Mexico more affordable. By choosing a larger deductible, clients can reduce the amount they have to pay in premiums to make their annual policy more cost-efficient. Adjustable deductibles are an excellent choice for homeowners who need to purchase coverage for high-value single-family homes or in Mexico.
We also know that not everyone has the time to schedule a meeting with a broker or head down to a financial agency that can provide insurance coverage in Mexico. That is why MexInsurance.com cuts out the middleman and allows its clients to do all of their research online. Customers have the option to receive real-time insurance quotes, purchase a homeowners insurance policy for Mexico online, and check out with a credit or debit card. It has never been easier to secure homeowner’s insurance for Mexico from any location in the world at any time of the day or night.
AirBNB or VRBO? – What Property Types are Eligible?
Good news for Air BNB and VRBO owners:
|Eligible||Single Family Homes, Condos, Townhomes|
|Not Eligible||Multi-family dwellings, duplexes, triplexes, commercial risks (Apartments, Bed and Breakfast, Hotel/Motel, etc.|
This unique policy also offers liability coverage for long-term and short-term rental units. Many homeowners purchase a house or condo in Mexico for their annual vacations, and then rent it out via VRBO, Airbnb, etc while they are not using it. This product covers the properties during their rental periods as well. In fact, it even offers reimbursement for as many as six months if damage results in the loss of rental income or if your home becomes inhabitable and you need lodging. Claims will be accepted for either lodging or loss of rental income so long as the loss is covered as outlined in the policy. The home must also be completely inhabitable in order for full reimbursement.
Optional Add-on Insurance Coverage
There are several optional add-ons that homeowners may want to consider. Like most traditional home insurance policies, consider hydro-meteorological (hurricane, tornado, thunderstorm, and floods) coverage. This type of coverage protects your home or condo from floods, hurricanes, and similar water-based natural disasters. Owners do not need to install storm shutters! Although if you own a home in a hurricane-prone region of Mexico it’s not a bad idea to have them.
Additionally, our homeowner’s policies also allow you to purchase theft coverage for your Mexican home or condo. One nice perk of the theft coverage is that you do not have to install security bars over the windows. This helps preserve the value of your home while maintaining insurability. Finally, you can also purchase earthquake and volcanic eruption coverage if you would like. Volcanic coverage may not be as concerning depending on where in Mexico your condo or home is located. But there are regions in Mexico that are prone to seismic disturbances.
Bilingual Claims Handling and Policy Documents
All policies offer bilingual claims and policy documents. We know that you may love Mexico, but not have a firm grasp on the language. Failure to understand your legal documents should not stop you from protecting your home fully. That is why we offer all policy documentation in English.
By clicking the link below your quote is in English (or Spanish) and your documents are in both languages as well. Your proof of coverage and terms and conditions are all in English and Spanish.
Should you ever need to actually file a claim or report a loss, the 24/7 claims call center is bilingual. The agents will kindly walk you through the process.
