Posted on March 20, 2014March 2, 2020 by Charles

It’s time to kick winter to the curb and head down to Baja Peninsula’s Spring Break destinations. It’s not just that a spring break Baja is an affordable option, it’s also fun. If you, your family or friends are considering a trip for spring break, check these out.

Rosarito Beach

Located just an hour away from San Diego, this gorgeous beach town is a convenient jaunt from the border. Rosarito offers both luxury and affordable accommodations for tourists who flock there for spring break. Surfing, snorkeling, whale watching, fishing, sailing, off-roading, beach volleyball, sunbathing, horseback riding—there is so much to do in Rosarito and spring break is the perfect time to visit when the social scene is in full bloom!

Cabo San Lucas

Situated at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, Cabo attracts everyone from celebrities to families to college kids and more! This tourist town boasts a relaxed atmosphere that is perfect for sun-seekers from all over the globe. With the Pacific Ocean to its west and the Sea of Cortez to the east, it’s not surprising that sport fishing is immensely popular during the spring season. Cabo San Lucas is also known for its gorgeous beaches, world-class spas, and incredible nightlife.

Ensenada

This Pacific coast city has long been attracting holiday seekers with its stunning beaches and tourist-friendly amenities. A major cruise ship port, Ensenada is filled with incredible shopping venues, amazing restaurants, and beautiful scenery. Ensenada makes an excellent choice for tourists who want to experience a bit of everything. Here, they have vibrant nightlife, pristine beaches, beautiful spas, wine tastings, and, delicious food.

Rocky Point

Technically—no, Rocky Point isn’t part of the Baja Peninsula; it’s located in Sonora on the Sea of Cortex. Its proximity to the peninsula makes it worth sneaking in this list, however, because it’s a first-rate tourist town! Rocky Point is one of Mexico’s most famous spring break destinations. Loaded with resorts, hotels, spas, RV parks, and campgrounds, this town seems to live for spring break in so many ways! Enjoy whale watching, sport fishing, sailing, swimming, snorkeling, and even golf in this sunny local beach town. The beaches will be hopping during the day and the clubs and restaurants will brim with dancing and music every night. Rocky Point is always a good idea, but it especially ramps up the fun factor during the spring season!
