Mexinsurance.com is an online do-it-yourself form of tourist car insurance for Mexico. Our parent company, Surplus Lines Broker "Mexico Insurance Services" has been operating since 2003, based out of San Diego, California.

Proprietor Charles Lundy started Mexico Insurance Services after working in the industry for several years. He saw first-hand the expense involved in handling manual certificates of insurance. His technology background gave him an idea, to put the technology of the internet together with the insurance and make an online do-it-yourself auto insurance program. Mexico Insurance Services was born, at www.mexinsure.us in March of 2003.

In 2004 Mr. Lundy found a new partner in Mexico an up-coming insurance carrier called "Qualitas". Qualitas had a lot of the same qualities that Mr. Lundy admired in some of the larger companies he had worked for. There was integrity, culture, respect and a primary concern and attention to customer service. This proved to be a good bet in partnering with Qualitas as of 2007 Qualitas had become the leader in Mexico for tourist auto insurance and one of Mexico's fastest growing and most respected companies. Qualitas is lead out of Mexico City by Joaguin Brockman, who has extensive insurance background both in Mexico and the U.S.

Mr. Lundy was issued a Surplus Lines Brokers license in November 2004, and directly partnered with Qualitas to offer insurance to clients exclusively on the Internet at www.mexinsure.us.

In 2005 Mr. Lundy acquired the domain name "Mexinsurance.com" and started a new image for Mexico Insurance Services which was an image of an angry bull, in a circle image. A project was started to launch the new site and logo.

In 2006 Mexinsurance.com was launched.

In 2007 Mexinsurance.com was completely redesigned with enhanced features and benfits including the Northern Territory Discount (for travelers visiting no further south than the bordering Northern Mexican States); Rental Car, Motorhome, Motorcycle insurance as well as new Policy Term option of Semi-annual to join the standard Daily and Annual policy term offerings.

These new offerings created a significant increase in traffic and forced the online brokerage to migrate to new and powerful servers with a corresponding updated database server. The logo of the bull was eliminated in favor of a warm and friendly orange and blue logo and color scheme. This overhaul and popularity of our unique system brought local attention from 3 of the 4 major news stations where full-length segments were broadcast on CBS, KGTV, and KUSI.

2007 also produced the deal and announced partnership with Latin Assist (Grupo Integra) which resulted in the acquisition of this domain "mexinsurance.com" and yielded a significantly greater tourist assistance package that is now available to Mexico Insurance Services' clients.

Mexico Insurance Services is proud of what we have built, together with our clients. When a client sends an email or a comment we act on it. We always return phone calls (but as an online system we discourage phone calls and encourage email), and together with our clients we have built a system that we are proud of.
